Public/Private Partnerships

In consideration of Charter’s significant public sector experience, particularly with the Department of Defense (DoD), Mira, in partnership with Charter, is well equipped to participate
in a partnering relationship with a Government entity and foster the development or redevelopment of a Real Estate asset.  The use of public/private partnerships is an increasing trend in this country, particularly for community development corporations (CDCs) and the DoD on base re-alignment.  Although the structure of these arrangements can vary, the underlying basis is the creation of a win:win scenario.  The public sector entity receives the benefit of a private sector approach to development: reduced costs, increased efficiency and a more focused, cohesive development team; while the private sector entity receives the benefit of the public sector status; access to publicly owned real estate, low interest financing and grants, as well as a host of potential future tenants, including the Government.
