The redevelopment of the former Hub Hosiery and McQuade mill buildings, with a cumulative gross square area of approximately 210,000 square feet, into a multi-family development consisting of 183 market rate apartment units. These
two buildings were originally constructed in circa ( 1870-1909 era ) and represent the last phase of the redevelopment of the former Lawrence Mills Complex. During the early part of the 20th century, the Lawrence Mills Complex consisted of over 1 million
square feet and was a significant part of Lowell’s textile industry. Located in close proximity to the Tsongas Arena, the LaLacheur baseball park and UMass-Lowell’s North Campus, the redevelopment of these historic structures
is now playing an important role in the re-genesis of Lowell from a 20th century industry center to a mixed use, urban center.
