Mira Executive Team
Robert L. Delhome , Co-Founder and Partner
Robert Delhome (Bob) brings over 18 years of experience in site and infrastructure re-development, environmental remediation, contracting and senior level management experience to Mira. Bob co-founded Mira in 2006 as a complimentary business
to Charter Environmental Inc., (Charter) of which Bob is the founder and Partner. A start-up venture in 1997, Charter has grown to over $50 million in gross revenues and currently maintains a staff of over 100 employees. As a full service environmental
and site restoration company, Charter is ranked by ENR in the Top 200 and by EBJ in the Top 50.
At Mira, Bob provides executive level guidance and management on all key corporate functions, including major contract execution, funding, budgets and site selection. In addition, Bob functions as the primary conduit for the synergistic relationship between Mira and Charter and its' related companies and is a member of the Executive Management group that evaluates all sites for go/no-go decisions.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and resides in Belmont, MA with his wife and three children.
Edward J. Walsh , Co-Founder and President
Edward Walsh (Ed) brings over 26 years of experience in Real Estate development (commercial, multi-family residential and mixed use),
construction management, and environmental remediation to Mira. Prior to co-founding Mira, Ed was employed by Lyme Properties, LLC (Lyme) for over 6 years as a Development Executive where he was involved in the acquisition, entitlement, design, construction
management and lease-up of over $500 million in mixed use development projects. Of particular note was the Kendall Square (Cambridge, MA) site, which involved the re-development of a former manufactured gas plant facility ($25 million dollars in
site remediation) into 1.3 million square feet of mixed use development (life science, multi-family residential, commercial and retail). Prior to Lyme, Ed held executive positions at various Real Estate developments, construction and environmental
remediation firms, with an aggregate project value exceeding $150 million.
At Mira, Ed provides executive level management for day to day operations, to include site evaluation, acquisition, financing, design and development. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Management group that evaluates all sites
for go/no-go decisions. Ed received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Bates College and a Masters of Science degree in Engineering from University of Massachusetts (Lowell Campus). In addition, Ed received dual certificates
in Real Estate Development and Finance from Boston University Center for Real Estate Studies. Ed resides in Hamilton, MA with his wife and three children. Resume
Lou M. Schena, Chief Financial Officer
Lou Schena brings over 14 years of financial management accounting, contracts management and financial control to Mira. Presently, Lou is CFO for
Charter and its' affiliated companies, where he has been employed in this capacity for over 6 years. During his tenure, Lou was instrumental in developing Charter’s ChartTrackSM Project Management System and the successful
launch of a fully integrated cost accounting system (Timberline). In his capacity as CFO of Charter, Lou is also responsible for managing all of the insurance and construction bonding programs as well as maintaining the various banking
relationships. Prior to Charter, Lou was employed by Feeley & Driscoll, PC, a certified public accounting and business consulting firm in Boston for over 5 years as an Audit Supervisor.
At Mira, Lou functions as CFO for day to day financial, accounting and insurance related operations. Additionally, with a similar, dual responsibility at Charter, Lou is able to ensure the seamless, financial integration between Mira and Charter, when applicable.
Lou received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Merrimack College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
